The Lady in Red is elegant, enigmatic, and has a talent for appearing at exactly the right — or exactly the wrong — moment. She does not work for anyone on the boat. She is not a passenger exactly. She is simply present: always in red, always with a book she's never reading, always the calmest person in the room when the room is on fire. She disagrees with most of Cap'n Davo's decisions.
